Dear All, Things feel fairly normal most of the time here in Albania but Covid-19 cases here have increased since the very strict lockdown from a couple of months back. Please pray that a crisis won’t develop with the limited capabilities of the hospitals.
On the studio front, we have been excited to get some funding to dub ‘Tortured for Christ’ into Albanian. This is a very moving feature length film about the life of Richard Wurmbrand and the persecution he underwent when he stood up for his faith. You can watch the trailer in English at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi-uJQppBXY. We are also working on getting funding for a series of testimonies of Albanian Christians in Kosovo. The situation in Kosovo is quite different from Albania, with the Albanians’ identity there very tied up to being Muslim. Those who become Christians, will often be rejected by their families.
Whilst we haven’t been away this summer, we have had a couple of day trips. The one pictured is when we went to visit Berat – it reminded me of my 6 months there in 1994/5 when I was learning the language. Love from Alison, Mozi and family
