Easter 2021

8th March 2021

We are pleased to announce our plans for Holy Week and Easter Day. Check out our Events page for further details.

Join us on Maundy Thursday, 1st April at 8.00pm for a Zoom Communion remembering the Last Supper.

On Good Friday at St Mary’s, the church will be open for private prayer. In addition there will be an outdoor ‘Stations of the Cross’ which can be followed by individuals or socially distanced bubbles. It will be a meaningful journey we can take through the churchyard as we visit the traditional stations of the cross and remember the journey Jesus made on Good Friday.

On Good Friday at St Swithun’s, the church will be open for private prayer and between 10.00am and 1.00pm you are invited to come on the hour or half hour where short prayers will be led by clergy as Stainer’s Crucifixion and excerpts from St Matthew’s passion will be played.

To celebrate Easter Day on Sunday 4th April at 10.00am we’d like to invite you to join either our all-age service of Celebration for Easter Day in St Mary’s churchyard or our service of Holy Communion in St Swithun’s churchyard.

We look forward to seeing you. Everyone is welcome.
