It’s been very exciting to see the car park at St Swithun’s get under way this week, after a period of delay. The activity at the site has been growing each day, and we are looking forward to Bishop David coming to bless the car park once it’s finished next month.
Perhaps this all sounds a bit comical – after all, a car park is not a very romantic addition to the beautiful Saxon church dating back to 1043! But in practical terms it will allow many more people to access this ancient place of enduring spirituality. It’s exciting to think that even now God is preparing the hearts of people who He wants to draw to St Swithun’s – let’s pray that the car park will serve God’s mission in the Headbourne Worthy community.
