Winter homes and feeding
As winter creeps in, our homes are really important.
God calls us to give nature a home too and we can help house and feed animals through the winter months.
Does your garden have bird feeders? The RSPB have useful bird feeding tips on their website.
Do you have space for a hedgehog house?
The Kings Worthy Community shed make and sell wooden hedgehog houses – they cost £35 each. Email ecohub@worthychurches.org.uk if you’d like more information on these.
Hedgehog houses and highways only work if your garden fence or gate have some gaps under them – but please make sure the neighbours are OK with you making a small hole in a shared fence, before you do!
If you don’t have a garden yourself, why not speak to your friends and family and discuss how you can help nature through the winter months – you’ll go further together!
