Learning4Life Sunday at St Mary's Church

Dear friends,

I'm writing to invite and encourage you to join me at the upcoming Learning for Life morning which is all about HOPE - Sunday 30th June at St Mary's. 

I'm sure you'll agree with me that the election campaign has seen messages given, promises made and hopes raised.  We pray and await the election outcome hoping that our politicians will stay true to their words. We also look out at a world with many conflicts and challenges and can often wonder what it all means and how we might live well in such times.

So, it's good to know that the Bible and the Christian faith has much to say to us about hope which is real and makes a difference.  And that's going to be the focus of our morning together on the 30th.

Stephen Golding and Matthew Briggs will lead us through 3 focussed sessions entitled:

What is hope?  Hope in the Bible and Hope in Action.  

Those sessions will be interspersed with coffee and cake and we'll have an opportunity to chat through some of the questions that their teaching prompts.  We'll provide some resources for children as well to do under the guidance of parents.

Can I ask you to make this a priority - I think it's very timely and will be a source of encouragement to us as we journey together at this time.
